Good Evening!

Im in a really crafty mood at the moment, just wonder how long it will last lol. I would just like to say a big thank you to all the lovely comments which have been left recently and my new followers it really does mean alot to me :)

I have made this card to fit in with Just Magnolia and Hanglar -Anything goes with optional extra of buttons, Lili of the valley - Spring (I really enjoyed using these spring colours, think this is a new fave combo)

Good Evening!

I got a chance to use some of my new stash this evening :) I bought this champion ted stamp from lili of the valley as i thought i was lacking stamps for making male cards plus it looked so simple and easy to colour in and it is :)

Heres what I came up with:)

Stamp is champion ted from lili of the valley coloured in with Copic Markers the sentiment is also lili of the valley. Papers are dovecraft back to basics ll. I have used D'ivine swirls c/bug embossing folder, tim holtz distresser, papermania buttons and raffia lace by paper cellar.

Ok so I don't usually do this but as my craft room is fairly tidy at the mo thought i best take a pic for Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday haha

So heres where i create :) I wish i had more room :( mind you i would only make more mess lol

It hasn't really changed much at all. In my pink container i have my new purchases which are waiting to be put away. My order from The Glitterpot came today :) i got 2 fizzy moon stamps and some papers.

Creative Inspiraions - Men's Card

Good Morning :)

I nearly forgot to schedule this post :s mind you it definatly wouldn't be the first time lol

Anyways this morning I am here to show you my DT card for Creative Inspirations where we have a challenge this week to make a mens card. I actually found this quite difficult as I don't have many papers and stamps suitable for men (This gave me an excuse to go on glitter pot and buy some papers and 2 stamps ohhh and 2 stamps from lili of the valley lol)

Heres my card:

The image is by Hanglar and coloured in using copic markers, the sentiment is by lili of the valley. Think the papers are K+Co. I have also used spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies, tim holtz distressing tool, d'vine swirls cuttlebug embossing folder. Ohh and lace was off a local market stall :)

Sock Monkeys :)

Good Morning!!!

I have been busy crafting but not the usual card. I saw someone selling these sock monkeys on facebook and decided i wanted to try making some just for fun :) There are loads of tutorials on the web but i found this one on craftbits really helpful and easy to follow. Once you have made one though you wont need to look at the instructions again its that easy lol

I bought the socks, stuffing and googly eyes from Boyes.

Heres the first sock monkey I made with spotty socks, I think I made the tail plenty long enough though haha

The second sock monkey i made with boyes stripey socks and made a shorter tail lol

Then my sister decided she thought they were cute and she wanted one! These socks were from The Factory Shop.

Now a couple of group photos hehe

No Square Cards Allowed and CUPCAKES :)

Good Morning!!

This week over at creative inspirations we have a challenge of "No Square Cards Allowed!" the rest of the girls have used the sponsors images which a gorgeous but unfortunatly my printer is no good at printing images. I have made a scalloped circle easel card which i actually found really easy!!! and i think they look really cute!

I have used:

Popcorn bear stamp coloured with copic markers
Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies
Cardstock from The Paper Mill
Seam binding I got off Ebay

Now onto the baking i did at the weekend :) I was really inspired to get baking and decorate some cupcakes when i saw Tabs post of gorgeous cupcakes she made!!

I also recently bought a cupcake stand off ebay which i love, it looks sooooo cute :)

So I made Chocolate cupcakes which I iced swirls onto and also vanilla cupcakes with pink iced swirls :)

I also used my sisters mini cup cake maker which make really yummy cupcakes and I iced buttercream swirls on top.

I also made a victoria sponge cake, think i over did the icing sugar on top lol

I made half a dozen pink butterfly cakes in silicone cases but 2 of them didnt make the photo shoot as my Nan and Grandad wanted to sample some for me hehe

and I made half a dozen green iced buttefly cakes in silicone cases. i made these green as i didnt think dad would like taking pink butterfly cakes to work with him haha

Good Morning!

Today over at creative inspirations we have colour combination challenge of green, beige and white.

So heres what i came up with. My cardstock looks more like an orange colour but its not its beige lol i even google image beige and compared it with my cardstock haha

I used a lili of the valley stamp coloured with copic markers. Sentiment also by Lili of the Valley. My Minds Eye designer paper, ribbon from boyes, papermania pearls, D'vine swirls embossing folder, spellbinders circle and scalloped circle die.

I should have posted this card on wednesday but i have been having real problems with the internet i have to sit at one end of the room to have a slight chance of it working lol

Putting a watermark on your image using Word

Okay so I had an email asking me how i put my watermarks on images with word and not photoshop, i thought it would be easier to post it here thank email it as it would take up tonnes of memory lol

1. Open a blank word document

2. Insert the photo of your creation

3. I usually crop my photo at this point

4. I don’t know what version of Microsoft you’re using but on mine I click on the picture and I can click on the format tab underneath picture tools. Then I click on text wrapping and select behind text. If you’re using the older version of Microsoft then try right clicking on your image and selecting format picture and it should be the same from there.

5. I then insert my watermark and do the same as above but click on in front of text.

6. You can then move the watermark about and get it in the right position

7. Now is where it gets to be a bit of a faf lol click “Print Screen” on your keyboard.

8. Open paint.

9. Then from the drop down menus select edit and then paste.

10. You should then see your Microsoft screen in paint.

11. Hopefully you can see from the picture but from the tool bars down the left hand side you need to select the top right hand corner one which looks like a square made out of dots.

12. Once you have selected that you can click and drag a box around your image.

13. Then right click your image and select copy.

14. Now open a blank paint and click on edit from the drop down menus and then paste.

15. Hopefully you now have your image in paint ready to be saved and put on your blog :)

Nappy Cake!!

Hiya All!

Im here to show you my dt project for this weeks challenge over at Creative Inspirations where our theme is Babies :)

My cousin recently had a baby girl and when i saw what our challenge was this week i thought this Nappy Cake would be a really cute gift :) I found the idea for this on the internet there so easy to make and you can put as much or as little in as you want!!

I cant remember how many nappies i used i think it was around 40?!?!? Then you have the bottle in the middle to hold it althogether, princess tiara, Whinne the Pooh Bath Themometer, a little baby suit which says "Special Delivery", Johnsons Products and the little nail clippers.

I am currently in the middle of making another one of these for a lady at work who is expecting a little grandson soon :)

whats on your work desk wednesday??

I thought I would join in with woyww this week as i have had a move arond and my dad finally put up my copic pot storage from ikea.

This is the desk i sit at I have aload of shelves behind me with flowers, punches ribbon and other bits and bobs. By the side of me i have a little book shelf of wooden stamps and under this desk i have two plastic drawer sets full of cards blanks and designer papers lol thats just the stuff i couldn't fit in the photo lmao

Don't know if you can see but on the left hand side corner of my desk is my new toy :) a copic airbrush system.

I bought the copic air system when i attended a copic beginners class organised by Stamps and Memories . It was a fab day i had to travel for 2hrs but it was well worth it i got to spend the day with some lovely ladies and learn some new techniques :) Trouble is all iv done since the class is buy more copics hehe

Pastel Notelet Cards

First of all I have to tell you I got all my inspiration for these notlets from Bev's recent tutorial on the Whiff of Joy Tutorial site! When my Nana asked me to make a little donations card i knew the style Bev had used would be perfect for what she wanted!

These notelets took no time at all hence why i made a few lol I also made these cards to fit in with a couple of challenges:

Evening All!

I've got another christmas card made :) I made this to follow the everybody art challenge where they have a sketch and iv just realised i haven't strictly followed the sketch so i realise i wont be qualifiying for the prize lol

The other challenge im entering this card into is simon says stamp which has a theme of stitching:) i really like the effect of stitching now i have got the hand of my sewing machine, its had more use this last month than it has the last 3 years lol

I also finally tried out my new bow maker which i bought from the Harrogate show of a stall called craft Racks for just £1.99 and it works like a dream :)

Mo's Digital Pencil Designs!!!

HI!!

I was looking on Rach's blog the other day when i saw her using the cutest image, it was a digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pen. So i had to take a look at her store for myself :)

So heres a card i made using John from the child's prayers collection

I was scared that my copics wouldnt work well with it being printed off but they worked great. Im not very patient so it didnt get above 5mins to dry lol

So i coloured it with my copics and highlighted with an inkessential white gel pen. I used K+Co hopscoth paper. I distressed it with my tim holtz distresser which you can probably tell from previous posts im in love with lol the ribbon i picked up from boyes 35p for 2.5metres :) and the sentiment was with a set free with a mag.

Today over at Creative Inspirations we have a challenge of Gems and Pearls, easy hey!

Papertake Weekly - I used my fave cuttlebug emmbossing folder (swiss dots), I also used my copics which i must say im getting addicted to lol

Treated myself to the Rose Tinted DCWV xmas papers the other day so had to have ago with em lol I also got the basic grey wassail 6x6 papers which i found very hard to get hold of!!

Evening!

Bit late posting this, but the challenge over at creative inspirations this wednesday was to make anything BUT a card!!

I had already seen this idea on splitcoaster quite a while ago and decided i wanted to try it!

I am also entering this into A spoon full of sugar as the challenge is weddings so this definatley fits the criteria lol

So here is my Altered Canvas

This is my mum and dad on their wedding day, I have made it for my mums bday present as i know she will just love it!!!

Above is the together sentiment which is computer generated i then went around the edges with tim holtz distressing ink - tattered rose.

Paper: K+Co

Medium: Acrylic paint, tim hotlz distressing ink - tattered rose

Tools: Sewing machine, cuttlebug

Embelishments: Pearls (i put pearls in the centre of each rose on the pattered paper but it is hard to see on the photo), Raffia ribbon, roses, cuttlebug embossing folder- script

Tonight I got a silver wedding card done that my mum wanted :) I made it to fit in with 2 challenges

Hanging treat holder :)

Afternoon All!!!

This afternoon i have been making a hanging treat holder, which i was totally inspired to do after looking on bevs blog! and i cant believe how easy they are to make, I normally get in a curfuffle when scoring and measurements in inches lol I made this to fit with the following challenges:

Stamp Something - Wedding, i though this would be ideal for a wedding present except maybe a more expensive beverage would be needed lol
Stamp with fun - not a card

So here it is............

I put a galaxy bar in mine for now just to let you see what it looks like full lol

Medium: Wisper brush stroke pens, glitter glue

Tonight I have made a card for a male coming upto 65 years old. I am entering this into:

Charisma Cards - Circles and/or dots (i used my swiss dots embossing folder on the oval, which hasnt showed up very well also i have my buttons and brad as circles :) )
